Bright page 1.5 image upload

A few issues that I hope can be resolved:

1. There are currently two sidebars. How can I change it to one sidebar and expand the width so that it covers the entire column?

2. How can I remove the “Read this post” link and have all of the pictures and text of each post appear on the same page?

3. At the top nav bar (where the Page elements are), could I include a link called “Shop” that when clicked, goes directly to my online store rather than another page on the blog?

I can help w/#1, b/c it confused me, too! Populate sidebar top and leave sidebar left and right blank.

Can u leave a link to the site so we can take a look. With that many changes u may want to find a theme that is closer to your needs then it would less to work on.

1) do u want only home page to be with no side bars and full width?
2) Read me txt can prob be taken out of the php. .U dont want the excerpt to show on home page .. u want the whole post to show??
3) If i understand you right then u can try to use the “appearance>menus” to create a “custom link” to where ever you want such as you “shop” offsite.

The changes sound easy but it is many steps to fix all this so that is why it may be easier to find theme closer to your end wishes. Not to say we cant get it all good but it just may take some back-n-forth here. It is not the easiest thing in world to type out thought and instructions …at least not for me … lol but i try!

Regarding #2, I’d like the whole post to show on home page. No excerpt. Could I just remove txt from php to do this?

Do u want multiple full post on the home page instead of many excerpts or just 1 full post?

If just 1 u can make a PAGE full width using the template for full width in the edit area. Single post dont offer this. If u want many non excerpt post on home/front page we have to find code that makes the excerpts and replace with code that makes whole post/entry.

What I had in mind was having the whole post show on homepage, but also keeping the sidebar. Here’s an idea of what I mean:

Ok …i created a new “page” to be the home with the txt and multi pics using the default theme template (w/sidebars) then in settings>reading – on top it says”A static page (select below)” Select for “front page” the name of your created page from drop down menu.
That should give u a home page that shows you 1 full post with sidebar!..i hope …it worked on the site u-be-u.com i tried it.

The slider is not going to show and will take a bit more tweeking to fix if u need it to show.
