• The world of WordPress themes is a strange planet that most visitors seem reluctant to explore properly. It seems as though many people only consider the ten or twenty most-used themes before choosing one for their website. Maybe there are just too many options and it all gets too confusing, so they look in the only place they think is safe: at the top of the popularity rankings.

Admittedly, there are some ugly and dysfunctional creations lower down the list. But there are also some diamonds; sparkling beauties that shouldn’t be overlooked.

Best of all among these hidden gems are the works of Theme Horse. I build low-cost websites for freelancers and other small businesses, mostly using free themes. I’ve created sites with three different Theme Horse themes now, and each one has delivered perfect results that have delighted me as much as my clients.

For my latest production I’ve used Ambition, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The website looks just as classy and stylish as the theme demo.

Nothing has ever gone wrong when I’ve used a Theme Horse theme – no bugs or difficulties with understanding how to replicate the look of the demo – so I’ve never needed to cry out for help. But this time I did seek assistance with customising the appearance of a section of the home page, just as a “nice to have”. Well within 24 hours the TH team replied with a simple CSS snippet that did exactly what I was looking for. That’s better support than I’ve had with certain paid-for themes I’ve used!
