• EDIT: It was great plugin but it’s broken since woocommerce 4.2.4 and it’s completely useless so I’m changing my ratings from 4 stars to one… It looks like the plugin was abandoned since no one is updating it.

    Old review:
    I’m surprised how hard it was to find a plugin that adds extra payment gateways that would be not be linked to any payment company. One COD and flat rate wasn’t enough for me, I needed more payment gateways but luckily I finally found Woocommerce Custom Payment Gateways!

    I wanted to add more shipping company choices and for that I needed more cash on delivery (COD) options because each company has different fee. It’s so BASIC thing and yet, it’s so hard to make it work in woocommerce! Luckily this brilliant plugin comes to help and for that I’m very grateful.

    Together with another plugin that links shipments with payments (creates table of shipments and payments where we set each payment visibility with shipment method) so only proper options are shown and with WooCommerce Pay for Payment plugin I could create up to 6 various COD (1 in woocommerce, 5 in this plugin) payment gateways that are shown dependently on chosen shipping company. GREAT!

    What are those small drawback of this plugin I mentioned in the topic above?
    – on plugins page we can see Payment Gatways link by this plugin but clicking on it on network WP installation shows page “You have not enough rights to open that page” – luckily you have access to those gateways from woocommerce options page, so no biggie
    – custom gateways are shown along another gateways but a bit different then shown on screen and that may confuse some on the beginning
    – some complain that custom payments don’t put instructions to clients in purchase confirmation mail and in fact I didn’t see any, but for my purposes I don’t need them so for me it’s not a problem (cash on delivery name of a payment is self explanatory). Fees and the name shows correctly in mail so for me everything works fine.
    – it looks that this plugin brakes redirection to “thanks for your purchase” page when using any of the custom gateways and after placing an order site reloads and shows – “your cart is empty” message, which may confuse client, luckily the thread below helped me to solve this problem:

    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/this-plugin-empty-the-cart-after-the-end-the-order?replies=6
    However the author of fix showed incorrectly what code is to delete because forgot to show the signs:

    );
    	}

    in code to delete so after putting the right code I had those doubled and it crashed the whole site (blank page) but I figured it out eventually and now everything works fine :).

    Some may say that different COD options may be created by additional shipment options with different names and fees, so I wouldn’t need this plugin, but that solution looks messy, unprofessional and confusing for a client. Two separate areas for shipment and payments is a far better option for your store.

    All in all, THIS LITTLE PLUGIN DOES WHAT OTHER PLUGINS OUT THERE (EVEN PAID ONES) CANT’T!!!
