    Dear all,
I am using cformsII Version 14.14 on wordpress 4.8.3.
Kindly I need your help to fix a problem.

Until april I used to put the following field {ID} in order to have the ID corresponding to form submission directly in autoconfirmation (and mail to the amdin).
In this way I used to have inserted in autoconfirmation the same number we can find in “Tracking” section under “#” column

Apparently I did not fo anything to change this behavior but… today’s morning I have tried my form submission and, though {ID} is still the in cformsII settings, in the related autoconfirmation I no longer have the corresponding number but “{ID}” is written.

Do you have any suggestion to fix this?
    Thanks much in advance!

The 14.14 changelog says “remove Tracking ID for files and {ID} variable”, so this change is intentional. You can read about tracking database being dropped in the next release in readme.txt, which is the reason for giving up {ID}.

    Hi bgermann,
    thanks much for your answer!

Could you please suggest any alternate solution for achieving the same result?
If you think there is no way, is there the chance to roll back to previous cformII version?

It is totally fine to just download 14.13.3, remove the 14.14 plugin directory and replace it with the extracted 14.13.3 one. There are no known security issues in 14.13.3 up to now.

Many thanks for your quick answer and for the plugin!

…and 14.13.3 is back again and needed feature has been re-tested and working fine.

If I may, I’d ask a final question in order to prevent unintentional upgrade of CformsII plug-in:
as it seems that the plug-in was automatically upgraded, is there any field you recommend to check?

The auto updating of plugins is not default behaviour, so I guess you have something installed which causes the config to change. You can read about auto updates at https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Configuring_Automatic_Background_Updates
