    Hello!
First off, excellent plugin – I’m just getting started.

I’m curious if it is at all possible to select a top level page and have all of the children broadcast to the network? For example, if I have a products page, and it has 100 children, instead of going into each of the 100 children can I just choose the top level page?

    Thank you so much.

If you’re handy with get_posts() and PHP, then you could use the Broadcast API to broadcast the children.

Otherwise you have the choice of manually doing it.

Or finally you can use Send To Many, and perhaps the Queue add-ons, to help you out.

I had a user the other day use those exact two add-ons to broadcast 3000 items. Sure, it took a while, but it was quicker than broadcasting each one by hand. ??

I’ll check your 2 links since I have absolutely no skills with PHP ??

Thanks so much for the insanely fast reply!

Since I have you here – Does “Blog Groups 2” allow the broadcasting of groups whether I (Super Admin) am a member of the site or not?

I have two plans – silver and gold. Silver doesn’t get product updates, gold does. Can I create a gold group and broadcast out to this group specifically as the super admin?

The BG2 add-on doesn’t broadcast any groups, but acts instead as an easy way of selecting and unselecting groups of blogs, using a javascript selector.

Only blogs visible in the user’s Broadcast meta box – blogs the user already has access to – will be selected / unselected, no matter which groups are selected in the group editor.

I hope I haven’t confused you too much now.

That makes sense. It doesn’t grant additional access or add new functionality, just an easy way to select a predefined group.
