• Hi there. I have a multisite with 20 countries/installs and 1 main install. I have a lot of data files that make charts/tables with WP Data tables. I want to use the same table/data across 21 sites. They all need to have the exact same data path and be pulled from the exact same location (as data is changed daily). This is not possible to do within WP Data tables plugin, but is there a way we could do it with Broadcast? Thank you! Getting desperate.

I’m not familiar with WP Data Tables. How is it storing the data? As posts or data on disk or something?

If the data is in posts, then perhaps the posts are broadcastable?

How are the data tables being referenced in the editor? Shortcodes?

Probably it (WPDataTables) doesn’t store them as CPT, that is why your plugin (broadcast plugin) isn’t able to list it’s type in the settings section. And yes, they pull it via Shortcodes. The Plugin pulls the data from various sources (set by Admin) like WordPress DB, Media Library, Excel/CSV/XML/JSON and Data is read from the source every time on page load.

Here is some documentation you can refer to: https://wpdatatables.com/documentation/general/table-creation-wizard-overview/#step-1

    Thank you. Appreciate any insights

I’d like a closer look at the plugin. Could you contact me via e-mail for more details? [email protected]

I’m especially interested in figuring out how it stores the data / references to the data.

I’ll update the thread here after figuring out how it works and what the best solution would be.

Amazing thank you. I will email you asap. I could give you admin access on one of my cloned test sites if you’re interested? Really appreciate your help!

Nooo, please do not offer that. The author will get into trouble for that.

If the author asked (the author didn’t), here’s what would be the reply.

I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.

    And this.

There are many ways to get information you need and accessing the user’s site is not one of them. That’s going too far.

    You get the idea.

Volunteer support is not easy. But these forums need to a safe place for all users, experienced or new. Accessing their system that way is a short cut that will get you into real trouble in these forums.

Ok no problem. Sorry about that.
