When a parent post is broadcast to a dozen different subsites on a multisite network, does the plugin add a canonical rel to each child post, so Search engines understand the post on the dozen child sites is linked from the parent post and NOT DUPLICATE CONTENT?

    Please advise.

    There’s a setting for that.

See Admin > Broadcast > Settings tab > SEO subtab.

Thank you for your prompt reply.

Just to make sure I understand the broadcast canonical setting,

    Is the following correct?

By default the Yoast plugin creates a canonical rel on each post which points to itself, so when the Broadcast plugin canonical setting is checked, then Broadcast replaces the default Yoast canonical rel on each child post with a canonical rel that points to the parent post.

    Am I on track?

    Thanks!

Yepp. That’s pretty much what the checkbox’s description says.
