• Installed on a site with 8,800 posts by a couple of dozen authors (over the years). Activated the plugin, went to look at an author profile page (latest post is from a newer author) and found two posts listed. I refreshed LiteSpeed cache for that page and it jumped to nine posts. Went to the Posts list in the admin and clicked his name (adding author=<ID> to the URI) and it showed the same, nine posts.

The problem is that this author has 60 posts. The nine it was showing weren’t even his latest posts, just a random selection spanning his four months on my site. Others were the same (only much higher real post counts since they’ve been around longer).

This was all within minutes of activating the plugin. I hadn’t done anything except turn off this plugin’s author boxes and profile pages (I don’t need them and will only use the multi-author feature). Disabled the plugin and viola! Everything was back to normal.

I didn’t debug anything. Probably won’t either. I was checking the free version of the plugin before buying the bundle (actually need caps pro and perms pro). This plugin just saved me $129. Of all the errors possible, basic, core post counts is the worst pooch to…

Stable, up-to-date 6.6.2 multisite install on OLS with MariaDB 10 and PHP 8.3.

@btreece84 Please don’t take this approach.

You’ve installed this in a large, complex site with tons of posts and authors. You have Lightspeed Cache which causes more plugin conflicts than anything else we come across. You appear to have done this on a live site with no testing. Then you’ve found an issue and immediately jumped to rude, 1-star review without asking for any support. And admit you’ve not done any debugging.

I’ve spent the whole week dealing with a hurricane over our house and come back online to this. I’m tired and don’t need this drama. I need to return to cleaning up all the debris. I hope you rethink this review by the time I’m able to come back.
