• This plugin didn’t work on a local install. Broke my site on activation, locked me out of admin, password fail. I swiftly changed the page editor plugin folder name, that fixed the issue.

All plugins need to be able to run on a locally installed wordpress without blowing up. How else could one know that the thing worked short of becoming familiar with the code?
    You don’t:
    C:\\documents\websites\WordPress\wp-content\plugins\ <–Test plugins here first… Always?
    And use:
C:\\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\host <— to get Free .dev domain names for life!!:)

I’m not sure what goes wrong. Can you please elaborate more, so we can fix this?

We do both develop and test our plugins in local installs on our laptops. And also the zip files we release we do test on local installs regularly. So I’m not sure what’s different with your setup.

    C:\\documents\websites\WordPress\wp-content\plugins\
Did you place the content of the zip file here?

Did you get any specific errors?

And was it clear to you that this plugin is beta (specifically to be able to fix problems with all kinds of different setups) or should we make that more clear even?

    Awesome fast support.
    Didn’t check any log.
I one-click installed the plugin from the repo.
And as soon as I activated I was locked out, the page refreshed to the login and I couldn’t log in. Had to change the plugin folder name to fix.

Hmmm… I really have no clue what could have cost that. The plugin has been tested very heavily by more than a dozen testers for the last few weeks. Even on a few local installs. Never has anything remotely like this happened.

Really sorry to have caused this trouble for you.
