Broken Blog
-
I have a WordPress blog that is hosted on Yahoo Business: https://www.capuderfantasia.com/blog
I posted a message about it three weeks ago. At that time, the blog had entirely disappeared (and I could not access the dashboard). Then, after a tech support call with Yahoo, the main (home) page only of the blog became functional. The current situation is this, the main page of the blog appears, but if I click to open any post in my blog, that page never appears. In Firefox I get the message “The page isn’t directing properly”, and in Chrome, I get “The webpage has a redirect loop” (and then it explains the page has “too many redirects”. Microsoft’s Internet Explorer more vaguely said it “cannot display the web page”.
My dashboard in WordPress appears to be entirely functional. I can edit a post from the dashboard, update it, and I can even preview it. I can pull up my posts through Windows Writer, and I can publish the edited posts. But if I start on the main page of the blog, and try to open up the same articles, I get the error messages I described above.
I have already deactivated all plugins. I renamed the folder containing my theme, but that did not fix anything. I switched my theme to Twenty Ten, and that did not fix anything.
Member Govpatel, in response to my earlier post (3 weeks ago), referred me to a post by James, setting out steps to solve this problem. I have done everything in Jame’s post except I cannot find any htaccess file (and I made sure Filezilla is set to show invisible files). Here is James’ post:
