Broken Captcha Image

  • I am running WP locally using XAMPP and every captcha image i try displays a broken image. I have read somewhere about the .htcaccess file, but I am not sure of how to actually fix this issue. Any thoughts or experiences?

  • Have you tried using Wamp server, I use it locally and captcha images works fine.

    It’s just a work around solution.

    I just installed WAMP and added my theme, same broken image results. weird. I have tried several different contact forms that have worked in the past.

    Does it work with the default WP theme?

    No it does not work with 2012 theme. I have done the securimage test script as well as the freeType script, both have passed. I also had php_gd2 enabled. No luck yet.
