Broken images … ?

So, something happened to my web-host yesterday, and basically my site went offline.
Upon it’s return, (besides many other issues) all my images were now broken, all of them!
I can see the file still exists within the WP-Content/Uploads directory and the file paths are the same, but for some reason when I try and navigate to an image on my site, I get a 404.
My web-host is USELESS and just consistently says (Your site is fine …)
Does anyone know what might have happened?
