Odd… this is what’s on your page:

    <img id="logo" src="" title="logo">

If you look in wp-content/uploads/whatever, do you see the file you just tried to upload?

    (@jhess56)

I was looking in my page source as well and cant decipher any of that

in my media library all of the files seem to be uploaded fine

i really dont know what the disconnect here, quite vexing!

This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

If you can install plugins, install “Health Check”: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/ On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

something is screwy…not really used to poking around in depth with image options as they typically just work…but i checked the “view attachment page” and its coming up weird..not loading the image, not sure whats causing this but hopefully it helps troubleshoot?

ran the health check thing thanks…
all plugins were off and tried my theme from the default again but still have same issue with the broken image thing

images in new posts/pages upload just fine. its just the logo and main image area of the theme that is doing this

I think you’re going to have to check with your theme’s developer.

just did that, they said it ” This issue appears to be on the domain and it is wordpress related” and ill have to sort it out myself

    Let’s grasp at some straws.

Check the error log on your server. If you can’t find the log, please contact your host.

Meantime, enable wp_debug and wp_debug_log and after an error, look at wp-content/debug.log to see if anything gets logged there. https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Debugging_in_WordPress

You can also try this: Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

i cant change themes because the theme is where im having the issue. no way to test the dashboard of that image loading in the theme if its not enabled know what i mean?

That’s definitely an error, but maybe not “the error”.

Have you tried reinstalling the theme?

    Thread Starter jhess56

    (@jhess56)

ok, deleted the theme and reinstalled it. the default settings have a default image in both of the areas im having problems uploading my own images to. they both come up fine, both in the wp dashboard theme area, as well as on the live site itself

i wish there was a way to just easily upload images here?

screenshots i took and uploaded to tinypic for reference
