Broken images from deleted MonsterInsights plug-in
-
Hello WordPress community,
I recently discovered an issue on my website (https://gadgetgalore.org) where a previously used MonsterInsights plug-in left behind broken images on most of my pages. I’ve since deleted the plug-in, but the broken images are still detected when I’m logged in as an admin.
Here’s a link to the broken image that appears on most pages: https://gadgetgalore.org/wp-content/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/assets/images/monsterinsights-badge-light.svg
Since the image is part of the WP-content, you won’t be able to view it directly, but it’s the MonsterInsights badge that used to appear at the bottom of my site.
here is a screenshot I did:
https://gadgetgalore.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/broken-image.pngI’ve checked my Elementor footer and there’s no reference to the MonsterInsights plug-in there.
I’m not sure how it’s still being detected as if it’s present on my site even if I deleted the plugin weeks ago….
To make matters worse, my SEO crawling tool has identified this as a problem on hundreds of pages such as:
https://gadgetgalore.org/travel-and-outdoor/types-of-fish-finders
https://gadgetgalore.org/home-and-kitchen/smart-home-gadgets
and many many more… but I can’t see the image from the pages as a user…I would greatly appreciate any help or guidance on how to completely remove all traces of this MonsterInsights plug-in from my entire site. I want to ensure that my site is free from any broken images or other issues that may negatively impact my SEO.
Thank you in advance for your assistance!
Best regards, Mose
