Broken images in media library

  • When i try to upload pictures to my media library, they appear to be broken. In the media library they show as a blank square where I suppose the picture should be. When I click the picture I get a broken image icon. When I click edit picture I can see the picture. Any ideas?

    I’m using WordPress 4.3.1, no plugins except the ones included when you start your account.

  • Hi, i have the same problem.I received HTTP error during picture uploading in media library.
    In fact – using FTP i see the picture is uploded in the directory, but in my admin pannel this picture is not in media library…

    Same here.

    I followed the broken image, and got a 403.

    Forbidden

    You don’t have permission to access /icon.png on this server.

    Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    Looks like a permissions problem, though I don’t have SSH to be sure.
