    Hey guys,
I have a rather strange bug. When creating a new document as an admin everything is fine, I can create text, add attachements, set access, tags and so on. When I try the same with a subscriber-user the layout is broken in terms of, i cant set the associated group and access AND additionally the comments of another document are listed below the create new docs form.
So it looks to me like this is a problem of user permissions. Question is: which specific permissions does the user need? Other predefined levels like author, editor, contributor have the same broken layout.

    Hi oliver_rub:

The comments thing is pretty weird. Did the recent update resolve it?

The associated group and access controls may not be visible to some users depending on the doc’s settings–the editing user has to be able to “manage” the doc in order to see those. The user’s “site” role doesn’t come into play for most cases, though.

    Hi David,
thanks for your reply. So after not getting a reply here for a while I posted this also on github and got a swift response; then I forgot to close this here.

tl;dr: Broken layout was caused by some permission foo and its fixed for me now.
I mark this as resolved now.
