Broken Link Checker Installation Failed

    Hi,

    I am currently having trouble with the Broken Link Checker V2.2.0. Have tried updating to the recent V2.2.1 but still an issue. Its installed on a WordPress V6.2.2 and using a bespoke theme.

    Didn’t have any issues before.

    The error I am getting in the plugin dashboard is as below;

    Broken Link Checker installation failed. Try deactivating and then reactivating the plugin.
    installation_complete = 0
    installation_flag_cleared_on = 2023-06-23T11:34:13+00:00 (1687520053.4959)
    installation_flag_set_on = 2020-06-08T10:40:19+00:00 (1591612819.4522)

    I have tried deactivating and reactivating the plugin but no luck.

    Looking at the logs, I am getting the below PHP Fatal error:

    I get the same errors in local environment and doesn’t look like to be a hosting environment restriction issue.

    Have you also tried downloading the plugin zip file and uploading from the WP Dashboard-Plugins-Add New-Upload Plugin

    Current version could be downloaded from https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/broken-link-checker.2.2.1.zip

    Please also share your local and hosted environment Site Health Report details with us, so that we can check further.

    Site Health report which you can get from the WordPress admin dashboard Tools->Site Health->Info->Copy site info to clipboard

    Hi Zafer,

    All working now.

    We had to completely delete the “Broken Link Checker” from the wordpress admin and carry out a fresh install of the latest version.

    Removing the plugin helped clear/update the database of the site.
