• The time use in some sites, but one is in error in NextGen.
    Installed: Version 1.9.12 / images=1245 / galleries=56 / albums=5.
When using a shortcode: [nggallery id=60], shows the images without problems.
    But.
When using any shortcode: [nggalbum id=5 template=compact].
Displays thumbnails of galleries, but clicking on them does not go to the pictures.
The link is broken. Shows page not found.
Note: Everything was working but stopped this week. Some problem in database? Links? How to solve?
    I await answers.
    Thank you.

  • I have the same problem. It doesn’t matter if I use [nggallery id=2] or [imagebrowser id=2] or [nggalbum id=3 template=extend] , I get a 3 page browser that the thumbnails on the first page link to their images fine, but pages 2 & 3 get ‘page not found’.

Links on the first page are https://www.lindadessaint.com/art-gallery/nggallery/image/marsh-berries/

Links on subsequent pages are https://www.lindadessaint.com/nggallery/image/castine-sunset

It loses the art-gallery part of the URL. Is there a fix?

I had some success – I went to Gallery/Options/Effects and changed from Shutter to Thickbox and the links work now.

    @mauriciotab, @cobaltcat, A few things to try:

    1) Go to Gallery >> Options > General Options > And make sure ‘Activate permalinks’ is selected. Save changes.
    2) Make sure that Settings >> Permalinks in WordPress is set to ‘Post Name’ > Save changes

If you’re wanting the Gallery >> Options > Effects > Lightbox Effect enabled, you’ll need to install a Lightbox plugin like ‘Lightbox Plus’ or ‘WP jQuery Lightbox’.

    Hope that helps!

Blanks to show thumbnails of Albums in NextGen.

Some sites use NextGen, are OK, but in two sites, the main problems (IMAGES). Page displays only contains the command line:
    [album id = 1 template = compact]

Problem is the space between a thumbnail and another.
I have created another page with the command line and it did not work.

    See the screens here:

How to fix this? Some configuration? Repair Database. how?
NextGen installed version 1.9.12, WordPress: Version: 3.5.1.
    Thank you.

Hmmm, that should be resolved in v1.9.12, some users were experiencing that in 1.9.11 – but it shouldn’t be an issue anymore in 1.9.12. Try the following actions and see if this helps:

    1) Deactivate all plugins (including NextGEN Gallery)
    2) Temporarily switch to WordPress default Twenty Twelve theme
    3) Clear your browser cache, and reload your site.
    4) Re-activate NextGEN Gallery only. Make sure you’re running v1.9.12 of the plugin.

Let me know if the compact album displays correctly now.

    Thanks!

@mauriciotab – we are just about to release v2.0 Beta. If you’re willing to give the beta a try, that may resolve the issues you’re seeing. What is puzzling me, is I can duplicate the same page type with albums like you have, and the alignment works fine. See: https://screencast.com/t/ZHqFLmYP2s8p So it seems to be a unique isolated issue with your site.

Not sure if you have a development installation or test site where you can duplicate your same site somewhere else on your server, like test.yourdomain.com . I’d like to see how your content and site appears bare bones, with only the WP default theme and our plugin activated. Could you take a screenshot if you are unable to create a test version of your site?

    Thanks!

    Becky
Is not isolated problem, see other problems I have with NextGen. I need help.

    1) On the site. The page also has pictures white space between a gallery and another. see:
    https://procio.com.br/n/multimidia/imagens/
Here is version 1.9.1.3 and aligns command is: [album id = 1 template = compact]
    ————————————————-

    2) At the next site the problem is bigger: Clicking on an image on this page, the link does not open. Enter on page 404. see:
    https://www.dioceseunivitoria.org.br/site/imagem-teste/
    or
    https://www.dioceseunivitoria.org.br/site/fotos/
Here is version 1.9.13 and the command line is: [nggalbum id = 1 template = compact]
    ————————————————-

    3) If the beta version will solve the problems, accepted.
    ————————————————-

    4) I will create a version with content development and WP default theme with NextGen to see reaction. Once you have news I contact.

But if you have some with the problems mentioned, thank you.

@mauriciotab – What may be happening is that when your gallery titles are longer, that might be causing the wrapping in the album that you’re seeing. I think we may have a fix for this in v2.0Beta as we did adjust some spacing for the compact album style. So once we release the beta (should be any day now), give it a try if you feel comfortable with using a Beta, and let us know if that resolves this issue for you.

    Hope that helps!
