Broken Links & Kitchen Sinks – How to redirect or redesign?

I am relatively new to WordPress. I learned how to create a blog with my own CSS and website look with lots of Red Bull and the occasional break downs.

I want people to be re-directed to my /blog/ domain when they enter my original site domain (i.e. make my blog my home page like all the cool kids). I am using GoDaddy for hosting with the WordPress plugin for Windows. Some guy at godaddy says I can’t just have my domain forwarded to the other because it gets on an endless loop (just like my brain). He says the blog is in a subfolder on my hosting and it’s causing a problemo.

I decided to ask the fine people of the WordPress community to help out and enlighten me on what I should do.
