    Hey Guys! So we are currently redoing our website, but we have seem to run into a problem with the live version of our site where the mobile is completely broken but when we scroll to the bottom of the site it has an option to switch to either mobile or desktop. How do we fix this? when we run the website through an emulator it comes up just fine, and we got in contact with our hosting provider and they are not running into the issue that we are.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @ianme4,

    Sorry to hear you’re having an issue, especially during a site re-do, that’s frustrating.

    I just took a look at your site both on desktop and mobile and I’m not seeing any issues on my browsers. On mobile the site loads fast and seems to be working.

    It could possibly be an issue with one of your plugins. Here’s how you can double-check that:

    • Deactivate all your plugins
    • Check to see if that’s resolved your broken mobile view
    • If yes, start enabling your plugins one-by-one to confirm which one might have been causing the issue

    Let us know which plugin is causing the problem so we can look into it further.

    If you’re still running into trouble, please follow-up so we can see if there’s something else that might help.

    This is proving to be really odd, everyone in my department has the broken view, almost as if the mobile version does not have the same “styling” as the desktop version. is there any way you can take some screenshots for me on what you see on your phone?

    Okay so @laurlittle

    just to give you a little more information, we were having a similar issue with our staging site and we found that it was a plugin called “wptouch mobile” and when we deleted it it cleared up the issue for us. but when we went to delete it on our live site it did not change anything. This is proving to be an interesting issue that we are having.

    Hello,

    I saw that you use W3 Total Cache. Try deleting the cache from the plugin control panel.
    Once this is done, access the site from mobile using a incognito tab to see if this solves your problem.

    I hope this helps you,
    Have a good day ??

    @stfrosty

    I removed w3 cache and it is still showing me the broken mobile view. I even used an incognito tab

    Hi @ianme4,

    Taking another look at your mobile site, I think I’m seeing the issue with “broken styling” that you’re mentioning: https://snipboard.io/EFepSA.jpg

    Some quick clarification questions for you, if you don’t mind:

    @laurlittle
    Yes that is the broken styling that we are talking about.
    in regards to the site redesign, we have our new site on a staging site, we are still polishing the site up and it should be ready to launch in a month or so. Now we did have that same issue on the staging site, and when we deleted the Wptouch plugin it fixed the issue on the staging site.

    But, when we went to delete that same plugin on our live site, it did not do anything for us. We even cleared our cache with through our hosting provider via there SG Optimizer plugin.

    So in short, we just deleted the Wptouch plugin and we cleared our cache.

    turns out that I needed to dig into the folders of our site on out hosting provider, for some reason they were still there even though we deleted them on wordpress!

    Oh strange! I’m glad you were able to resolve it.

    And thanks for mentioning how you fixed the issue, it might help someone else in the community in case they run into a similar problem and come across this thread.
