Broken site – can’t get to dashboard

  • HI – I am trying to get back the site I built – it was almost perfect and is no broken.

    When going to the site the theme is missing – I just see plain style text. I can’t get to the dashboard – comes back and says not found. It seems like the site does not know where to go. The problem started when trying to re-direct the domain. I do have a copy of the entire wordpress folder from a few days ago when everything worked well. When I transfered this folder to the host I still get the same problem.

    I really appreciate the help since I do not want to start from scratch.

  • When I did this, I had to go to phpmyadmin and manually change the tables. Somewhere there is an obscure reference to updating the site in the dashboard before moving the site so it will be right after you move it.

    thanks for that. how do i get to phpmyadmin in godaddy or is it a wordpress file? and then what needs to be changed in the table(s)?
