• I am currently using Astra Theme and my WordPress has notified me to update my broken themes. Following are my broken themes:
The following themes are installed but incomplete.
Twenty Nineteen:Template is missing. Standalone themes need to have a index.php template file. Child themes need to have a Template header in the style.css stylesheet.
Twenty Seventeen:Template is missing. Standalone themes need to have a index.php template file. Child themes need to have a Template header in the style.css stylesheet.

However I only have 2 themes installed currently, Astra (activated one) and Twenty Twenty (Backup theme). Please assist me in removing the Twenty Nineteen and Twenty Seventeen themes completely or in fixing these themes. I even tried removing it from wp-content/themes folder but am unable to do so. I am not a developer and am not familiar with any kind of coding.

Please help me with above issue.
    Thank you

  • Hi Manu,
The easy way to remove themes is to delete the folder wp-content/themes. You need a ftp connection to your host, I recommend Filezilla (free and efficient).
I did not find any alternative way.
Having extra themes you don’t use should not be a problem.
    Regards
    Etienne
