Broken titles completely

  • After updating this plugin I got the white screen of death; not that unusual so I just deleted it and was going to re-install the previous version.

    However, I noticed that after deleting the plugin my titles on every page are just the URL. After playing around it seems as if the function of wp_title no longer works.

    If I type plain text in to the <title> tag, then it displays fine, but no matter what I do I can’t get it to display the page title any more.

    Additionally I’ve tried the last couple of versions of this plugin and each time I activate it I get the white screen of death (previously they worked).

    Any ideas?

    To confirm I’ve deactivated or deleted all other plugins to check for incompatibilities and the wp_title function no longer works even when this plugin is not installed.
