I’m sure this is probably something very simple, but I can’t think of how to phrase it to search for answers on google or even here.

Here’s the problem all links on wordpress refer one level above what they should i.e. wordpress is located at … .com/board/ so login should be .com/board/wp-login.php . That is what should happen, instead all the links look like this .com/wp-login.php and when I view individual posts I it tells me there are errors in lines 5 and 9 in single.php both of which deal with templatepath.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t there when the mistake was made so I don’t know what the person was working on when it happened I just got called in later. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Log in to the WP admin and go to the Options tab. Make sure that both “WordPress address (URL)” and “Blog address (URL)” are set to … .com/board/

I think you’re right, but there’s a big problem. because the only way to access it is to manually type in .com/board/wp-admin/… my referer ends up wrong. is there a way to fake it? or find the option elsewhere?

Solved! I had to go into MySQL on my actual website in my case through vDeck and manually change the siteurl to .com/board on the Database I was using. It was the very first variable so it wasn’t hard to find.
