• Hello!

    Just out of curiosity, why is there a BrowseHappy link on my admin panel? I mean really, I use Internet Explorer 7 and I’m happy with it (it does 99% of what Firefox does, works with the occasional website better and integrates with Vista).

    I don’t need a link to a website with stories from 2004 justifying why Internet Explorer 6 is bad. It’s a straight up FUD and disinformation campaign.

    How do I remove this useless piece of spam (yes, it’s unwanted advertising) from my wp-admin pages, and better yet, why is it there in the first place?

    Regards,
    Todd Aspeotis

  • Another alternative suggestion could be to just edit file wp-admin/includes/template.php comment out line 512-513

    An easy way is to change the wp-admin.css, and add anywhere the below:

    #bh { display: none }

    An even better way is to have a plug-in that would insert your own css file at wp-head, and have the above css placed in that file. This will not modify codes and will work even when you upgrade.

    An even better way would be to get the heck over it.

    But, the given plugin above (8 months ago, by charle97) will work as is. Use that if you can’t handle the fact that WordPress and its creators support Firefox.

    Considering that I see some spam links on that site, removing that link may be a good idea.

    Off to email security as it looks like the site got hacked.

    Go to the firefox page, open source, and look towards the bottom of the page. There’s links to some cooking site.
