Browser cache, minify, gzip compression not working?

I was using Super Cache and had added manually some code into .htaccess file for gzip compression. My speed test page on Google (https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=www.followtheboat.com) was at 68/100. I then installed W3 Cache and it dropped to 65. I made some tweaks to the settings and only got it back up to 68/100 again.
Why does Google speed test page tell me I have yet to sort out my JS and CSS minify settings, that browser cache should be enabled and that gzip should be enabled, when W3 is supposed to take care of this?
