Browser hangs during update of post

  • Hello!

    A few days ago my browser starting hanging when updating a post. The system CPU shoots up to %100. A window will pop up saying my script is unresponsive.

    I’ve tried a few things to resolve this.

    The previous version was 2.0.4. I updated to 2.1.1 through Fantastico and then to 2.1.2 by uploading the newest version, extracting it and running the update script.

    Disabling all of the plugins.

    Turning off the pings and tracebacks for the post.

    None of these have helped.

    Can anyone suggest something else?

    I’ve also noticed that the version number of the manage page hasn’t changed from 2.1.1 to 2.1.2. Is this a problem? There were no error messages from the upgrade.
