Disable all your plugins, and add them back in one-by-one until you see the message.

Thank you, good suggestion. I deactivated all plugins. emptied my browser cache. still get a canvas fingerprinting attempt. Of course, it could be a false positive from my browser plugin.

On firefox, I was using Canvas-defender 0.1.8 homepage https://mybrowseraddon.com/canvas-defender.html
