buddy press user profile

Hi,
I am integrating buddy press in my website and testing features. Everything looks great but I am struggling to create buddy press user profile home page!
Once logged in, I have to click Members and then click user name to see profile. I would have thought if I have logged in, I could then access my home page where I could see any notification and friends request.

Do I have to manually create page and add some short codes for profile page rather than going through all members?
Is there a plug-in that could be integrated to achieve above?
