    Hi!

I’ve tested Jitsi Meet for the first time today and the quality was amazing. Hence, I wanted to use it on my website (we’re doing online classes, some might include video). I’ve added the plugin but absolutely nothing works: my page keep on loading and I haven’t figured out how to embed it directly in a page.
    Could you help?

    Thank you.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • I am very new to this and still learning, but believe that it is not about embedding it in pages, but having it on your website.

It is effectively a Buddypress group with access to Jitsi, rather than traditional group features.

Have you got Buddypress installed? If yes, when you create a group, can you see the Buddymeet option?

BuddyPress is installed and activated on my website. I tried to access BuddyMeet from a group’s page and it led to a neverending loading page.

After installation of buddypress and buddymeet you activate them, Next you go to Buddypress and create a group. When you create the group configure the group, you will see buddymeet, click on it to configure it and save.
Go to your host and grant permission to outgoing connections from your vps. There many ips that will be trying to connect that will be blocked if “Outgoing Connections Manager in your Host does not grant permission.”

This feature allows you to specify certain IPs or IP ranges to which you will be able to open outgoing connections.

Ok. So BuddyPress and BuddyMeet are installed and activated. I deactivated my secuiryt plugin to make sure it wasn’t the problem, but I still can’t have BuddyMeet when I click on it from the group’s menu.
Not sure what to do with my host: my website is hosted on a shared server. Do you know if there’s anything I need to do?

    Hi,

there was an issue in the plugin activation. Please install version 1.4.0 and re-activate the plugin.

    Thanks,

I did that and… it broke my website…
Unfortunately, I think it’s not the right solution for me.

it does not work as a [buddymeet room=ROOM_HERE subject=SUBJECT_HERE] on a page. you make a page with the code, it may work for a while than it sroppes and thats it.
that you restart it xxxx times and all of a sudden it works again a couple of times and than stopes again. no pattern why it worked 5 sec ago and why it doesnt now.

actually i figured out, you make a page, insert the code, still you do not save the page, press preview – it is ok.
you save the same page with the code – it stopes working.
    wtf)

Same problem. It works in preview but when it’s saved, no longer works.

I am having the same issue, shows in the preview, and when I save/publish, the site doesn’t have it.

    SOLVED !
Heads up on what helped me.
Buddy Meet was not showing up at all after a group creation.
My issue was that I set up 2 Group Types, in my case I called one Private and the other Public.
But by default, those two check boxes on the Group Creation Page are not checked. As a result the group could not initiate the Buddy Meet plugin to show on the Group Page. Once I checked one of the Group Type Boxes, Whola! it all worked like magic.
