[Theme: Ammon] BuddyPress Compatibility issue

I have been attempting to install Buddypress on my site. Once installed everything works out perfectly other than one thing, my theme (Ammon) is having a conflict with BuddyPress. Once BuddyPress is activated the WP admin bar no longer shows up on the frontend of the site, instead there are two empty spaces ( one white and one grey). I have been on forums for days trying to find a solution. I have checked header.php and footer.php, made sure view bar when viewing site is checked, tried editing functions.php. the only success i have had is narrowing down the problem to the theme. If anyone can help i would greatly appreciate it.
