    Hi Walter-

Boone and I were thinking about this, and it really depends on what you’re trying to do. The standard WP REST API should work for fetching docs, and the access protection should still work when querying for docs.

The place it gets fussy is that BP Docs uses terms to associate docs with people and groups, and knowing what those terms are could be a challenge in the REST API. However, if the REST API “knows” where you are (in a group, at a user profile, etc) then the logic in BP Docs may kick in automatically.

Best, and let us know how it goes.

    -David
