Hi, I just downloaded and installed BuddyPress theme. When I installed the theme I got an error message saying the stylesheet was missing and the theme is “broken”. I tried uninstalling WordPress and re-installing and everything was still there after the uninstall. I’m stuck. I installed another theme after all that NO PROBLEM. I want to use BUDDYPRESS, not the cheesy theme I have installed now. Any ideas how to fix this? THANKS!

    Broken Themes

The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template.

    Name Description
    buddypress Stylesheet is missing.
BuddyPress Social Theme Stylesheet is missing.
Simple WP Community Theme The parent theme is missing. Please install the “bp-default” parent theme.

Uninstall Buddypress plugin and then reinstall as the default buddypress theme is included in the plugin.

The only plugins I have installed are the Akismet and Jetpack by WordPress.com plugins. Where do I get the “bp-default” parent theme? Or, where do I get the plugin you speak of?

SCHWEET! I got it! Thank you very much. I looked here in the “extend” tab, saw the “BuddyPress” PLUGIN, and said hmmm…

I downloaded the PLUGIN as a plugin, and wahlah… it worked perfectly.

I the re-activated the Simple WP Community Theme 1.6 by Sven Lehnert u. Konrad Sroka, and my Zecckine family site is live!

Now, for some tweaking and learning all the goodies.

    WORDPRESS / BUDDYPRESS ROCKS!

    Thanks again, g-man
