• Hello,

I am using the latest version of Sahifa theme ( v3.3.0 ) and the author says that the theme is not compatible with BuddyPress.

But I really like buddypress and would love to see it implemented on my website. Is it possible that I can still use buddypress with a different buddypress theme? Yes, I would love to use buddypress like that! I have 1000+ users registered and I want buddypress for my website…

Should I create another wordpress directory? Can I use two themes, like the Sahifa for home and https://domain.com/community for buddypress with a custom BP theme?

I don’t really know PHP and I’m new to these, any help would be appreciated!

If you install BuddyPress on your current WordPress installation then you can’t use more than one theme.

You can make a fresh install of WordPress in a sub-directory or sub-domain and activate BuddyPress on it. In that case you have a complete independent site that you can use whatever theme you like on it but keep in mind that this mean your 1000+ users will remain on your old installation and you will have to figure out a way to bring them in.

The new way BuddyPress uses to handle templates is powerful and simple at the same time that almost any theme would work with it.

One more thing: The support reguarding themes here is provided only for themes hosted on www.ads-software.com repository. So if you need support regarding Sahifa theme then I suggest you ask the theme author for provide it to you.
