BuddyPress – Installed…now what??

I installed buddypress and the template pack (so it will work with my Thesis theme) but now I don’t know what to do! Where are the settings? How do I get this baby cookin’?

Also, should I not bother with Google Friend Connect once I get BuddyPress working?
