BuddyPress/Ultimate Member conflict

  • I’ve got Ultimate Member installed to handle login and registration forms, and BuddyPress to handle profiles and UX/UI after login, but I’m running into a problem with Better Messages as a result of having both installed. Better Messages is defaulting to Ultimate Member and not BuddyPress, so when someone clicks the link in BuddyPress to go to their Messages tab they get sent over to the Ultimate Member profile page instead. I don’t want to go digging around aimlessly without first checking if anyone else has tried something similar. What steps should I take to ensure that Better Messages connects to BuddyPress and ignores Ultimate Member entirely?

    Hi there!

    There is no fix for that unfortunately: ( The plugin designed to used only with 1 profile plugin at the same time.

    Gotcha. So there’s no way for me to fiddle with the loops inside the plugin, or prevent it from checking for Ultimate Member? I don’t mind digging into the code a bit to jam a wrench into the appropriate function if that’s the only available method.
