Buddypress (Vertical) Profile Tabs

  • Hi!

    Been trying to solve this problem for 2 days already but to no avail.

    I installed a theme that is compatible with buddypress, however, the profile tabs is of vertical orientation instead of the usual ‘jquery/ajax’ dynamic horizontal tabs (like the one found in the default buddypress template).

    I have some images to show, but not sure how to link it here.

    Appreciate any help given!

    This is because the theme that you have installed has the code that causes to display the profile tabs of vertical orientation instead of the usual ‘jquery/ajax’ dynamic horizontal tabs.

    You are using buddypress 1.7 which does not require buddypress compatible theme, it works with any theme so you can change the theme to make it work or if you want to use the current theme then you will have to change the code which is causing to display the profile tabs of vertical orientation.

    yup, i agree there is something wrong with the theme code.

    hmm it’s weird that the tabs appeared fine in the theme’s demo page but not mine.

    i had spent almost 2 days trying to search for the faulty code but to no avail.

    exhausted all possibilities.

    i hope someone out there can still help me out though

    Have you tried disabling all plugins?

    i have only buddypress plugin installed. so yes.

    Ask theme developer whether there is any option to display it horizontally if not ask them whether they can develop it for you if not then we have to develop it…

    Hi vinod. thanks for responding.

    yup i did ask them, still waiting for a response. been 4 days.

    and furthermore, it should work in my installation as it worked with other installations like in their demo page.
