Buffer API Error: HTTP Code 400. #1004 on Twitter

    I have all the new posts scheduled to be added to the end of Buffer queue with the following tags:

    {title} {url}
    {excerpt}

    However, I am getting the following error when saving all new posts:

    Buffer API Error: HTTP Code 400. #1004 – Hmm, it looks like the message is too long for Twitter.

    I am using the free latest version of the plugin.

    Hi,

    You would need to shorten the length of the status message that you’re scheduling.

    This could be achieved by shortening your excerpt, or removing the {excerpt} tag.

    Once the status message meets Twitter + Buffer’s requirements for maximum length, it will schedule correctly.

    Should be great to have a message in the editor page if messages are too long. Kind of warning…
