    Hello,

We have detected accepted orders with false data.

If a true card number is entered, with a false expiration date and CVC, the order is accepted and the corresponding e-mails are sent to the store administrator and the customer.

No charge is reflected in the Stripe panel, not even a failed charge.

The only way this does not happen is to activate the CVC verification in the Stripe panel.

Everything seems to indicate that this problem must be solved urgently.

    Thanks and regards.

  • Howdy ??

No charge is reflected in the Stripe panel, not even a failed charge.

If that is the case then I would not expect for the order to “be accepted” as you describe. What is the order status of this particular order?

    Kind regards,

    Hi,

The order status is “Processing”. As any other true order paid with a card.

Either way it is easy to check. If you haven’t activated the CVC verification in the Stripe panel, try. Your card number and the rest of the false data.

If nobody else happens, it’s a particular problem of mine.

    Thanks and regards.

Ok, I deactivated the rule to block payments that fail the CVC check:

And I attempted to checkout with a bogus CVC number but a good card. This is what happened:

And I have a record of the attempted transaction on my Stripe dashboard.

Your claim that there is no record of this particular transaction on the Stripe dashboard with an order status or “processing” indicates to me that there is something changing order statuses without actually verifying the payment. Neither WooCommerce not the Stripe payment gateway would have changed that order status without a response of a successful charge from Stripe.

If Stripe debug logging is enabled, I would expect there to be more information about the transaction in the logs that can be found under WooCommerce -> Status -> Logs

    Kind regards,

Ok, thank you very much for your checking. Thanks to your comments now I think know where the problem may be.

I use “WooCommerce Order Status Manager” but with an added peculiarity.

    I check and comment here.

    Regards.
