    Hi,

When selecting the ‘Branded’ option for payment request button and setting the type to ‘Text and Logo’, the button only displays the logo with ‘Pay’, but not the full text with ‘Buy with Apple Pay’.

    Please fix this.

    Hey @nabeelshikder

This is correct – the “Branding” option uses the assets directly from Stripe.com, this is the approved asset for Apple pay – https://developer.apple.com/apple-pay/marketing/ – “Buy with Apple Pay” is not an official branded asset.

I hope this helps, have a great day!

When selecting the ‘Default’ option for the payment request button, it displays the full text in Apple Pay button as ‘Buy with Apple Pay’.

This is even shown in your official plugin documentation: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/stripe/#section-7

    How can this be normal?

    Hey @nabeelshikder

“Buy with Apple Pay” is served directly from Stripe. “Default” is the Stripe.com default assets/buttons. If you used Default and viewed on Google Chrome, this would show the “Pay now” button from Stripe.

Can you check those settings? The default for me shows the same as Branded for Apple Pay, which is correct.

Branded is what Apple would show and on other browsers, shows G Pay.

So when you select “Branded” you are asking the Stripe payment gateway to display the branded marks for Apple Pay – this is stylized as the Apple symbol and “Pay”, or G Pay for others.

For Default, this is what would show on this page – https://stripe.com/docs/stripe-js/elements/payment-request-button

    Thanks,

‘Default’ is working fine. The problem is the ‘Branded’ option when setting the ‘Payment Request Branded Button Label Format’ option to ‘Text and logo’.

Please test the ‘Branded’ option with the above set to both ‘Logo only’ and ‘Text and logo’. Both these options are showing logo only for Apple Pay, but only one option should be showing logo only.

    Hi @nabeelshikder

Thanks for your patience, I was testing this and the team have come up with a fix that will be part of the next release:

    https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-gateway-stripe/pull/1215

Due to this, I’m going to mark this thread as resolved.

    Thanks,
