Bug ? Cannot edit picture on duplicated product variation

I just started using WC.
Ran into an immediate problem with my first product setup.
I have one product – setup fine.
A copied it to make my second product.
Everything was copied great including the pictures for the variation items.
Those pictures are incorrcet for the 2nd item so i tried to edit/change them by selecting the new image from my media collection – but there is no way to select an item – it just says show – I dont want to show it – I want to select it.

It a big problem.

Any ideas ?
