Hello Webtoffee team, the checkboxes “necessary Aways enabled” and “non-necessary” appear in the footer of my page in Mobile Safari instead of showing the banner.

In GDPR Settings “Enable Non-necessary Cookie” is set to “No” and
    Necessary Cookie Settings is empty.

I didn’t see this before so I assume it come with some recent update?

    Using:

PHP 7.3.5, WP 5.2.1, GDPR 1.7.7, on iOS 12.3.1 Mobile Safari, WP_DEBUG is disabled.

    Hi @worddigger,

We will check it. Meanwhile, you can rollback to the previous version from here.

Hello @webtoffee, thank you for the quick reply, rolling back to version 1.7.6 did the trick for me, the checkboxes disappeared in Mobile Safari, but there is no banner showing.

    Hi @worddigger,

If you do not have any necessary cookies listed and you haven’t enabled non necessary cookies also, you can remove the [cookie_settings] shortcode from the message bar so that it won’t be displayed to the users.

We checked now in your site we are able to see the cookie banner. Refer screenshot.

    Hello @webtoffee,

I didn’t have the [cookie_settings] shortcode in the message bar, but I forgot that I got https://1blocker.com running on Mobile Safari wich is blocking consent banners also.

When I reload the page without content blocker everything works fine. If I run the page with 1.7.6 with the content blocker enabled, the banner is not showing and I don’t get the checkboxes “necessary always enabled” and “non-necessary” appear in the footer.

If I run it with 1.7.7 and One Blocker X enabled the checkboxes “necessary always enabled” and “non-necessary” appear in the footer. (see screenshot)

So the whole thing is apparently caused by One Blocker X handling version 1.7.7

Thank you for the great support so far.

Exactly same problem here after 1.7.7 Update. It seems there is a bug in 1.7.7 regarding the cookie_settings always appearing on Mobile versions of websites without being the cookie_settings shortcode being enabled.

    Hi @xaviergimeno,

We just checked your site and we cannot see any issues. You may please refer the screenshot. Try clearing your site and browser cache and see if the problem persists.

Browser cache has been cleared thousand of times since I was aware of the issue, only 3 hours after the update.

    Hi @xaviergimeno,

Please reach us via support with site details and a screenshot of the error.

Anyway, the problem may be due to the browser, which is that of a mobile phone that is not mine (I have never had a mobile phone and I think it is a completely useless technology), which has never been updated since 2015 or before. But it is also true that the same web from the same phone with version 1.7.6 of the plugin did not give this problem, and with 1.7.7 it does.

    Hi @xaviergimeno,

We have checked the screenshot you shared and it looks like some outdated browser which may not be compatible with current CSS versions. Please try using some commonly used newer browsers like Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari etc.

I’m seeing this as well and I’m using the most recent version of Chrome. Caches cleared and in incognito mode.
