Disruptive Save Popup on WordPress.com connected via JetPack

When editing posts on WordPress.com with a jetpack-connected site, the online editor has an incredibly disruptive bug when it can’t save a draft. Instead of unobtrusively displaying a warning near the ‘save’ button (or turning it red), it posts a big, disruptive ‘saving of draft failed’ pop-up, then scrolls you to the top of the post and loses your place in the editor – over and over and over again. In most cases, this is a temporary connection issue where pressing ‘save’ works fine. There is no reason to have such bad UI/UX. Can WordPress developers fix this ASAP? Seems like a pretty simple issue to address.
