I believe this has been a long-standing bug. Color settings applied to a BG headline are not being honored and instead, the link settings from the Customizer are being applied. You would have to put the heading to a container and apply the link color settings in there for the colors to have any effect.

    Hi there,

could you provide a link to a page where we can see the issue?

It pertains to the content color links, David. Here is how to reproduce:

Fresh WP install with latest GP, GPP and GB.

Make sure you have the Colors GPP module activated, then go to Customizer -> Colors -> Content and select Link and Link Hover colors. Create a new page with a GP headline and create a link inside the headline. Then, select different link and link hover colors from the ones you selected before in the Customizer. You might see those colors change and it will work while previewing but when you save and view the page (the actual page, not the preview link) the link and link colors are being inherited from the content color links in the Customizer.

    Hi there,

This is a known issue, and it’s a tough one to fix.

GeneratePress uses .inside-article a to target links inside the content area.

GenerateBlocks targets .gb-headline-123 a to target a link inside a Headline block.

The only fix I can think of would be to add .inside-article in front of it if GB detects GP and a content link color. Less than ideal, but may be the way we go if a better method doesn’t come to us.

Yeah, that could be a solution, Tom. Glad you are aware of it, anyway!
