    Hello

I am trying to get the pixel and CAPI work on My website correctly and have been doing lots of testing. Currently I am using version 8.2.6.

If I use version 8.2.7 the “add to cart” events are registered as “button click” only whereas in 8.2.6 these are correctly shown as “add to cart” events.

To reduce and conflicts I am trying to get the plugin to work without any caching enabled. However in chrome when I refresh the page or open the same in incognito window even though pixel helper shows unique event id, on facebook in the test event tab the event shows as “deduplicated”.

This does not happen when using firefox. Any idea why it is happening and how to resolve? Thanks.

    1. Regarding the add to cart part, please watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZoAu8a0PNg

    2. Regarding the CAPI events, it’s probably due to the way you test. Browser events are not visible in Events Manager if fired in a different browser session.

    Hello

    Thanks for the prompt reply.

1.) I checked the setting. Button classes was enabled. Changing it to hooks resolved the problem. Do the versions before this version had “woocommerce hooks” as the setting because in the previous version it was working fine.

I have created a short video to try to explain. Even though event id in pixel helper is different the even in facebook event manager is showing as deduplicated in chrome. Is this normal behaviour? The events are fired in the same browser session. Thanks

After further testing I have found-

    Case 1- Chrome Incognito window-

Even though event id is different each time, in the test events the event show as “deduplicated” on each refresh. There is no caching enabled. This happens even when ajax is enabled.

    Case 2- Chrome normal window-

Even though event id is different each time, in the test events the event show as “deduplicated” on each refresh. There is no caching enabled. However If i turn ajax ON this behaviour goes away.

    Case 3- Firefox-

In firefox (tracking disabled by firefox) pixel works correctly. On each refresh new event is recorded in the test events window in the facebook.

Is it possible to check why are events being deduplicated only in chrome even without any caching at all. Thanks

Everything works fine, no need to worry, or overcomplicate things.
