Bug in drop_down cats

  • edit.php isn’t displaying the categories correctly. If I have four levels of categories, it only displays the first two.
    Actually it’s more complex than that, as if I build a simple tree cat1 – cat2 – cat3 – cat4 it works.
    mmm… guess I need to play around to find the exact situation where it fails.

  • Check out the wiki (https://wiki.www.ads-software.com) click the Template Tags entry. Then Category Tags….
    there’s a “feature” of the list cats functions that if the parent category is empty, the child cats don’t show either, even with posts in them. If you set the hide_empty parameter to false, then it should be OK (it’s TRUE by default).

    In my case if I create new categories without any posts it works fine.
    Where is the dropdown_categories code ? Our company can’t use WP unless this is fixed.
