For the registration email I embeded a link to a page on the website.
Saved it and tested it. Yes the link is in the email sent.

However if I go back to the email template, that link and its code has Gone.

But on testing the regstration again. the email sent still has the link in it

So something is stripping the code out making us think it has gone.
With no way to see all the information in that email template

Obviously there is a bug stripping the code in the view, but leaving in in there somewhere.

For others looking at this error
They tested it and came back with this answer

The code you embedded in the registration email template is indeed formatted to ensure a clean appearance in the admin panel. This means that while you may not see the actual code when you revisit the template, the links are being sent correctly to users.
The system is designed this way to maintain a smooth and tidy layout. For instance, if the HTML code were lengthy, it could clutter the backend view of the template. Rest assured, users are receiving the correct links as intended.

This could be an issue as if you go and changed the email again, then any current html code etc is not showing so it could be over written. So be careful with rewritting preset emails.
