Bug in WooCommerce products page
-
Hello @alekv,
first of all thanks for this great plugin.
We have to report a bug caused by your plugin (at least) in current WordPress 5.5.3 on PHP 7.4 and 7.3 with WooCommerce 4.7.0.
When we have your plugin activated there are problems at least in the header of WooCommerce’s Products > Products page, the footer of the WooCommerce Coupons page and the WooCommerce > Customers page. Additionally there are JavaScript console errors.
As soon as we deactivate just your plugin the error is instantly gone in all browsers we tried.
We really like your plugin especially since it works like charm even with Borlabs consent tool (we use it with your wgact_cookie_prevention filter). So everything would be so great, when this bug wouldn’t be there.
We tried it in many current browsers on different Windows 10 computers in different locations: Firefox, Chrome, Edge, Opera. In nearly all of them the errors occur. There is only one Win10 Chrome PC where this bug doesn’t show up – for whatever reason.
So first the exact description of the problems with your plugin enabled as they look in WordPress backend:
1. If we try to load the backend page WooCommerce > Customers two rotary circle loading icons are shown for a split second and then the page stays completely blank (Firefox). Or in Chrome there sometimes is a big pink exclamation mark telling that there was an error and one should reload (but this doesn’t help). Additionally for example in Firefox there are console errors like
ChunkLoadError: Loading chunk 47 failed. (error: https://<DOMAIN.TLD>/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/packages/woocommerce-admin/dist/chunks/<FILENAME>.js)
As soon as we deactivate your plugin all runs instantly.
2. If we load the (WooCommerce) backend page Marketing > Coupons under the coupons there are knowledge base items. When your plugin is activated there is an error shown instead below the coupons and additionally there are console errors. As soon as we deactivate your plugin all runs instantly.
3. For example in the header of the Products > Products overview page on top there is a search products input field. This is overlayed by the WooCommerce page header, look here: https://i.ibb.co/N6Sx6V5/woocommerce-error.jpg
Additionally there are console error logs here, too.
As soon as we deactivate your plugin all runs instantly. What can we do now? Will you try to fix this problem? Please let us know if you wish to have admin access to this WordPress installation.
Greetings,
-doffine
