Latest update (v 2.2.2) changes links to “permalink”

  • Usually the post used in the look to display them were linked to the expected post. With the last update they suddenly just link to “permalink”.

    I am totally lost what might cause this issue as nothing was changed except updating the site including the update of Ele Custom Skin and Ele Custom Skin Pro.

    Any help would be highly appreciated!!!

    Update: It seems like it is not directly related to the v 2.2.2 update. I just downgraded to 2.1 and see the same behavior.

    Problem found: For some odd reason the link URL of the flipbox template used in loop was set to {{permalink}} and not to the post url.

    The Elementor changed the way they handled the links and messed everything else up. Working on a solution
