$html.= $after_widget;should be moved up inside the } before it.When there are no comments, the widget adds an extraneous
</div>tag that closes the sidebar prematurely, causing all kinds of theme issues.It would be worth your time as a dev, to properly indent you code, so things like this are easy to catch.
